How To Clean your RV's Air Conditioners 

Get your recreational vehicle ready for spring camping season!

Step One:

Power off

Turn the power off to your RV or camper before working on any RV air conditioning unit. 

Step two:

Clean filters

Start by vacuuming the air filter. Then, soak the air filter in a mixture of warm water and mild detergent.

Step Three:

Inspect Unit

Head to the rood, remove the cover and inspect the AC for nests or other large desbris. 

Step Four:

Clean the Coils

Using a specialty coil comb, comb the coils. Blow the coils with compressed air to remove any remaining clogs and spray coil cleaner/

Step Five

Oil in Motor

If your fan motor has a small oil cap, add oil every year. Remove the plastic plug from the cup and place 3 to 4 drops of SAE 20-weight oil.
