How To Re-Seal Your RV Like a Pro 

Follow this simple process to properly re-seal your RV roof and exterior

Re-Sealing Doors and Windows

Re-seal around exterior doors and windows to prevent water damage in walls.

Section one:

Step One:

Check for broken seals

Look for cracks in the sealant, chipped sealant and areas where the sealant has thinned.

Step two:

remove damaged Sealant

Completely remove the damaged sealant using a caulk scraping tool.

Step Three:

Apply Painter's Tape

Apply painter’s tape directly above and below the old sealant line. This will help you apply the sealant cleanly.

Step Four:

Apply CAP Sealant

Using a caulk gun, apply the sealant in between the two strips of tape. Wait 3 to 5 minutes and remove the  tape.

Re-Sealing the RV Roof

Now that you know how to fix window seals, let's head up to the roof.

Section Two:

Step one:

Check for broken seals

Look for cracks in the sealant, chipped sealant and areas where the sealant has thinned.

Step two:

Apply lap Sealant

Using a caulk gun, apply lap sealant over the old sealant. The sealant will be 80% cured after 48 hours.
