What is AllStays?
AllStays is a road trip app built specifically for people who camp and travel in RVs. The main feature of the app is an interactive map that shows almost everything an RVer could ever need while traveling. AllStays is a great travel planning app, but I also use it frequently on travel days when I need to make last-minute decisions or find something fast. It is user-friendly, the map loads quickly, and it works offline when you’re in remote areas, so I know I can also trust it to help me find my next stop in just a few minutes.

Back in the day (when I first downloaded the app 10 years ago), the fee for the app was a one-time payment. Users who previously purchased the app have the option to keep using the app with the features available before a Pro subscription was offered.
But the new Pro version is faster, cleaner, and has so many feature upgrades, so I decided to upgrade my plan this year. My favorite part of the new version is the custom filter system. I can save the exact things I want (a pet-friendly campground with full hookups, laundry, and a pool) and just load that search anytime. 5 Ways AllStays Saves the Day on RV Road Trips
Finding Easy Overnight Stops
We often have multi-day drives between destinations where we need a safe place to park the RV and sleep, but don’t need anything more. Every time we need one of these stops, we turn to AllStays.
The AllStays map includes Walmart stores, Cracker Barrel restaurants, and other business locations that allow overnight parking, so we can find a free place to sleep a few hours before hitting the road again.
When we want to sleep in a little more, we can also search for RV parks close to our route and within our budget range.
Pinpointing the Perfect Stop
On travel days, we also use AllStays to find all of our stops along the way—namely, rest stops and fuel stations. Looking at the map, I can quickly see all the RV-friendly rest areas and truck stops along our route.
Using the information in the app, I can quickly check if the most convenient stops have our desired amenities, like RV fuel lanes, a dump station, or a pet area. If I’m hungry, I can even use the filters to find the truck stop with my restaurant of choice (Taco Bell, please)!
Being able to check that a stop is safe for our trailer and has everything we need saves us tons of time and provides peace of mind on travel days.
Avoiding Low Clearances
AllStays also helps us stay safe and avoid potential disasters. We also use an RV-friendly GPS, but traffic and road closures can mean that we sometimes have to make a snap decision about whether or not to change our route.
Fortunately, AllStays has low clearance routes noted on its map. Our travel trailer is about 11.5 feet, so I just select the “Low Clearance 11-12 ft” option in the AllStays filter list, and I can quickly scan a route for any signs of trouble.
Searching for my Dream Campground
In addition to being an essential travel day companion, AllStays is also a great trip planning tool. I love using the app’s extensive list of advanced filters to search for my dream campground.
Of course, exactly what I am looking for changes depending on my priorities at the time, the location, and the season. Some of my saved filters in the AllStays app include:

Finding RV Essentials Anywhere
When you live on the road, simple errands like refilling propane or finding a dump station can turn into a full-day mission. That’s why I love that AllStays shows every RV essential right on the map. I can find dump stations, propane fills, and potable water in seconds without hopping between different apps.
For example, if I need to dump tanks before heading to a new boondocking spot, I just open the map, turn on the “dump station” filter, and I’ll see the closest options. Each listing includes reviews from other RVers, so I can see if the station is easy to access or if there is anything I should know.
