I recently received a Pro subscription to the new AI road trip planning software, AdventureGenie. Today, I am using this new tool to try to plan the perfect RV road trip. Keep reading for my full review of the AdventureGenie software (spoiler alert, I love it!). Plus I’ll share a discount code.

What is AdventureGenie?

AdventureGenie is an AI-powered road trip planning tool designed specifically for RV travelers. This innovative software takes the stress out of trip planning by helping users map out their perfect route, discover top-rated campgrounds, and find exciting attractions along the way.

With AdventureGenie, you can enter your starting point and destination, and the AI does the heavy lifting—suggesting the best stops and fun activities, routing you around potential road hazards, and even recommending campgrounds that fit your preferences.

Or if that sounds like too much work, just type a quick sentence describing your dream trip, and AdventureGenie will do the rest!

Since AdventureGenie is a web-based tool, it is ready when you are; no download is required. Their online platform is designed to give you instant access to all their planning tools from any device, anywhere.

Some key features include:

Custom Trips

Simply enter a starting point, an endpoint, and your desired daily mileage, and AdventureGenie will plan the perfect road trip based on the preferences pre-set in your profile.

Users can easily find the best campground based on the tool’s GenieMatch score. GenieMatch calculates how closely a campground fits with your preferences. Using an easy-to-understand percentage-based system, they quantify how suitable a campground is for your unique needs and tastes. 100 is a perfect match!

Personal Genie

Campers can also use the Personal Genie to plan their RV road trip. Instead of entering a starting point and destination, campers simply type a summary of their needs into a freeform text box. I’ll detail an example below, but users could request anything from “Plan the perfect National Park road trip across the United States” to “Plan a family-friendly road trip in the southeast with stops at beaches and waterparks.”

AdventureGenie Discount Code

The basic features of AdventureGenie are free, but campers will need a Pro subscription to access all the trip customization features and the Personal Genie.

Testing AdventureGenie: My Experience

To fully test the features of AdventureGenie, I asked the trip planner to plan a New England summer road trip. We are full-time RVers, and we spent last summer in New England, so I wanted to see how much the AI trip planner aligned with the trips I spent hours manually planning last year.

Before entering the prompt, I first customized my profile. I entered information about my RV and my campground amenity and activity preferences. Specifically, I noted that electric, water, and sewer hookups were nice to have, but no other campground amenities were necessary.

With my preferences saved, I headed back to the home page and selected “Personal Genie” so I could enter an unrestricted prompt. My prompt read, “Plan a summer road trip visiting every state in New England. Stay near the best hiking destinations in each state and recommend dog-friendly hikes at each stop.”

Then, I hit “Create My Trip” and waited for about a minute while my trip was created.

Here is the trip AdventureGenie made for me. Amazingly, 5 of the 6 recommended stops were places we stayed last summer, and the last stop (Sleeping Giant State Park) was somewhere I have not visited, but looks right up my alley.

Now that all the destinations are selected, I can start to customize my trip by adding dates, booking campgrounds, and planning activities.

If I click “Stays” under each destination, AdventureGenie has a recommended campground for me at each stop. The recommendation is based on a GenieScore (based on camper reviews from multiple sources) and a GenieMatch (the match with my personal preferences). If I don’t like the selected campground, I can browse a full list of options in the area.

Within AdventureGenie, I can also see an AI summary of the campground and its features. The tool also has reservation details (link to online booking or phone number), so I can easily make reservations without any additional searching.

AdventureGenie also plans activities at each of your stops. Since I requested dog-friendly hikes, AdventureGenie returned a list of 3 recommended hikes at each stop.

Once your trip is fully planned, you can save it, share it with friends, and download the details in PDF, Excel, or GPX.

Pros and Cons of AdventureGenie

Pros of AdventureGenie

The thing I love most about AdventureGenie is how quickly I can plan a trip. What once took me hours of research and planning can now be completed in minutes. If there is one thing this tool does, it saves you time!

Another feature that really stands out is the ability to plan not only the route and accommodations but the activities. Other RV trip planners help you figure out where to go: AdventureGenie also tells you what to do when you are there!

Cons of AdventureGenie

While I love AdventureGenie, there are a few areas that could be improved. There is currently no option to enter and save your RV memberships in your profile, so the trip planner does not automatically know that I prefer Thousand Trails campgrounds.

However, when I requested that the Personal Genie plan a road trip around Florida “staying exclusively at Thousand Trails and Trails Collection campgrounds,” it executed this task flawlessly.

The other con is limited stay options. While the trip planning tool includes a huge database of private campgrounds and detailed reviews of each campground, it does not yet have information on boondocking spots, state park campgrounds, and other parking options.

Final Verdict: Can AI Plan the Perfect Road Trip?

After testing AdventureGenie, I can confidently say that this AI-powered trip planner is a game-changer for RV travelers. It takes the hassle out of route planning, campground selection, and activity research, making trip preparation faster and easier than ever. The Personal Genie feature is especially impressive, allowing users to create highly customized road trips in just minutes.

While there are a few areas for improvement—such as better integration of membership campgrounds and expanding the database to include more boondocking and state park options—the software is already a powerful tool for RVers looking to simplify trip planning. The ability to fine-tune itineraries, compare campgrounds, and get AI-curated activity recommendations sets AdventureGenie apart from other trip planners.

For anyone who wants to spend less time researching and more time exploring, AdventureGenie is absolutely worth trying—especially with the 50% off Pro subscription deal currently available. Whether you’re a weekend warrior or a full-time RVer, this tool can make planning your next adventure easier, faster, and more fun!

Happy Camping!
