RV Rental Prices
Because it is the top concern for most renters, the first item on our comparison of RVezy vs Outdoorsy is price. However, this is where the two companies are the most similar. The average rental prices for comparable rigs in the same location are very close.
As shown in the table below, the average nightly rental price is slightly lower on RVezy, but there is not a major difference in price. In fact, the average rental price for travel trailers on Outdoorsy is less than 2 dollars more than RVezy’s average rate. Both rental companies also recommend a 10% discount for weekly rentals and a 20% discount for monthly rentals.

We analyzed the prices for Class A motorhomes and travel trailers as posted for a rental in September 2021. Insurance Coverage and Fees
While the average nightly price is very similar on RVezy and Outdoorsy, the fees for roadside assistance and insurance coverage vary much more. RVezy offers protection plans and roadside assistance plans separately. Their standard protection plan offers a one million dollars in third party liability coverage in the United States, standard accident benefits and collision and comprehensive coverage. The deductible ranges from $1500 to $3000. Premium coverage with a lower deductible and higher third party liability coverage is also available.
The price of RVezy’s insurance and roadside assistance plans vary based on the type of RV. The daily rate for roadside assistance plans is typically between $10 to $20 per day. The standard insurance plan rates vary more, but seem to average between $25 and $60 per day. While the standard insurance protection plan is required for all rentals, the roadside assistance plans are optional.
Outdoorsy has package plans that include both insurance and roadside assistance for all rentals. Their most basic coverage plan includes state minimum insurance coverage, up to one million dollars in third party liability coverage and 24/7 roadside assistance and customer support. The deductible is $1500. The plan rates vary by RV type and location, but seem to average around $50 for one night rentals. However, the rate is not multipled per day, so coverage for weekly rentals averages at about $200.

Both RVezy and Outdoorsy charge service fees to renters. RVezy charges a standard service fee of 10% of the total rental amount, including any add-ons, mileage overages, and additional post-trip charges. Outdoorsy’s website states that they charge “up to a 20% service fee…for each rental booked.” It is unclear how the service fee is determined for each Outdoorsy rental, but they seem to range from 10 to 20 percent.

RV Rental Search Filters
When comparing RVezy vs Outdoorsy in terms of their user experience, Outdoorsy has more advanced search features and filters. Both companies have websites and mobile apps that allow users to search for RV rentals by date, location and RV type and size. However, Outdoorsy has more filters to help renters find the perfect RV rental.
RVezy’s advanced filters mostly allow users to limit searches based on the availability of basic features, such as air conditioning, a toilet and a kitchen sink. They also have filters for vintage and family friendly RVs. On the other hand Outdoorsy has a large selection of unique filters, including festival friendly RVs, tailgating-friendly RVs, rentals with unlimited mileage and rentals with unlimited generator hours. They also let users filter results on every RV amenity from solar panels to Wi-Fi to awnings.

International RV Inventory
Both RVezy and Outdoorsy have thousands of RVs listed for rent in the United States. However, their international inventory is very different. RVezy was founded in Canada, so they also have thousands of RVs available across Canada. They do not offer international rentals in any other countries.
Outdoorsy does offer RV rentals in Europe. They currently have RV and campervan rentals available in England, Greece, Italy, France, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Austria and Slovenia. While most of their international listings are in Europe, they also have RVs available in South Korea, Reunion Island in the Indian Ocean and all over Australia. Cancellation Policy
Outdoorsy and RVezy each take a very different approach to cancellation policies. On the other hand RVezy has a standard cancellation policy that applies to all rentals. Overall, Outdoorsy’s flexible and moderate policy are better for renters. - All rentals have a 24-hour grace period during which renters are entitled to get a full refund if they cancel within 24 hours of making the first payment. The grace period applies as long as the time of cancellation is more than 24 hours from the trip start date.
- Rentals cancelled more than 30 days from the date of rental will receive a full refund minus the RVezy service fee.
- Rentals cancelled between 30 days and 8 days from the date of rental will receive a 50% refund minus the RVezy service fee.
- Rentals cancelled 7 days or less from the date of rental will not be refunded.
Outdoorsy Flexible Cancellation Policy
- All rentals have a 48-hour grace period during which renters are entitled to get a full refund if they cancel within 48 hours of booking. The grace period applies as long as the time of cancellation is more than 14 days from the trip start date.

- Rentals cancelled more than 7 days from the date of rental will receive a 75% refund minus the Outdoorsy service fee.

Outdoorsy Strict Cancellation Policy
