RV campgrounds used to be just open fields or a spot in the woods. Some of the nicer “resorts” might have a pool. Nowadays, many RV campgrounds are real luxury resorts with lazy rivers, on-site restaurants and more!

Bluewater Key RV Resort

Location: Key West, FL

Tucked away in a peaceful enclave halfway between Big Pine and Key West, Bluewater Key RV Resort is a luxury, waterfront oasis. Campers will be blown away by the turquoise waters and the impressive campsites.

Every campsite at Bluewater has different features, but many offer large Tiki Huts with outdoor living, dining and kitchen spaces. Some of the waterfront lots also have private docks for boating, swimming and fishing.

The campsites are so nice, there is no reason to go anywhere else, but the resort also has several shared amenities for campers to enjoy. These amenities include a temperature-controlled swimming pool, a clubhouse, a fenced dog park, a community dock with boat slips, a kayak launch, and more!

CreekFire RV Resort

Location: Savannah, Georgia

Savannah is a top destination known for its stunning antebellum architecture, lush public squares, and rich, historic past. However, travelers staying at CreekFire RV Resort will have a hard time leaving the RV resort to enjoy all the city has to offer.

The resort has over 200 campsites, all of which have full hookups and are either gravel or concrete. All sites also come with a picnic table and a fire pit. The best sites back up onto a lake for water views from your RV.

El Campo Lost Lagoon

Location: El Campo, Texas

Lost Lagoon is definitely luxurious, but it’s not stuffy. Located 30 minutes southwest of Houston, Lost Lagoon was designed for the whole family to relax and have fun.

The resort has over 200 RV campsites, all of which have concrete pads, a grass lot and full hookups. However, campers won’t be at their sites very much as there are too many amenities to enjoy.

Fun at Lost Lagoon starts in the water. Water-based attractions include a huge swimming pool with a 21-foot water slide, rope swing, waterfalls, a lazy river, a swim-up bar, and a jacuzzi. They also have a Wibit Sports Park, a floating water playground packed with obstacles that let campers run, jump, climb, slide, and splash their way across the lagoon. Smaller kids can enjoy the kids course and lagoon.

Back on land, other fun attractions include mini golf, laser tag, a remote-control race track, pickleball, and an arcade. Campers at Lost Lagoon don’t even have to cook for themselves. They can grab food at Chester’s Cafe or Lulu’s Snack Hut.

Gulfport Luxury RV Resort

Location: Gulfport, MS

Located right across the street from a beautiful Gulf beach, Gulfport Luxury RV Resort has everything you could dream of for a luxury beach vacation. The gated campground is fully paved and every campsite comes with full hookups, a picnic table and free high-speed Wi-Fi.

Luxury amenities include a resort-style swimming pool with a swim-up bar. The pool area also includes a poolside cafe, fire pits, cabana rentals, and a hot tub.

Nestled deep in the woods between Boston and Cape Cod, Normandy Farms is a luxury RV resort. The campground offers full and partial RV campsites with gravel pads. However, the vast array of amenities is what makes Normandy Farms special.

The resort has all the campground features you could hope for, including four swimming pools (including an indoor pool), a hot tub, a dog park and sports courts.

Additionally, the park also has some really unique facilities, including a bike park, a wellness center offering massage therapy, an RC track, an 18-hole disc golf course, a meditation garden, and horseback riding.

Location: Ponchatoula, LA

Located an hour from New Orleans, this Sun Outdoors resort is a camping paradise. The resort has almost 300 campsites, all of which are concrete and have full hookups. In addition to buddy sites, they also have unique 3-way campsites where you can park three RVs on one huge site with a communal table in the center.

The Ridge is an upscale RV and outdoor camping resort that is just three miles from Dollywood. All of the RV campsites at The Ridge have full hookups and concrete pads.

For the bougiest camping experience, book a signature site which includes a personal two-person hot tub, a gas grill, an outdoor wood-burning fireplace and an outdoor TV. The luxury glamping experience at The Ridge continues beyond the campsite.
