The Grand Canyon is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world, and for good reason. With its towering cliffs, stunning views and incredible trails, it’s no wonder that people from all over the world flock to the Grand Canyon.
Staying in an RV is the perfect way to stay close to the canyon, while still enjoying all the comforts of home. In this article, we’ll share the 10 best Grand Canyon RV parks, along with descriptions of their amenities, prices and location.

Best South Rim Grand Canyon RV Parks
The South Rim is where campers will see the canyon’s most famous views. The stunning viewpoints and easy, year-round access make the South Rim the best option for first time visitors to the Grand Canyon.
Trailer Village RV Park
Price: ~$85 per night
The only full hookup RV campground within Grand Canyon National Park, Trailer Village RV Park is the ideal place to stay for anyone who wants to maximize their time in and around the canyon.
The RV park has over 100 paved, pull-thru RV campsites. The sites can accommodate RVs up to 50 feet long, and include cable TV, water and sewage hookups, 30 and 50 amp electrical service, barbecue grills and picnic tables.
The campground only has basic amenities, including laundry and showers. However, campers will never get bored as the walk from the RV park to the South Rim is only one mile. Campers can easily access trails and viewpoints without fighting for a spot in the crowded parking lots.
Mather Campground
Price: $18 per night
For campers on a budget, Mather Campground is another great RV camping option within Grand Canyon National Park. The campground is located in Grand Canyon Village, close to restaurants, shops and the South Rim.
Mather has over 300 campsites, each with a campfire ring/cooking grate and a picnic table. There are no RV hookups, but there are flush toilets, drinking water and an RV dump station in the campground. Most of the RV sites are pull-thrus.
The campground can accommodate RVs up to 30 feet in length or trailers up to 27 feet long. Laundry and hot showers are available at the camper services office.

Grand Canyon Camper Village
Price: $62 to $76 per night
If the National Park campgrounds are fully booked, Grand Canyon Camper Village is the next closest RV park to the South Rim. It is located just one mile south of the park entrance, and seven miles from the canyon’s rim.
This RV park has around 200 RV campsites with either full or partial hookups. Both 30 amp electrical sites and 50 amp sites are available.
Location is the main reason to stay at this campground, as it only offers basic amenities. The onsite services include a small camp store, coin-operated showers and laundry. The RV park is also walking distance to local stores and restaurants.
Grand Canyon Railway RV Park
Price: $45 to $70 per night
Located in Williams, Arizona, about an hour from the National Park, Grand Canyon Railway RV Park is a great option for campers who want more amenities.
The RV park has over 100 paved, full hookup RV campsites. All campsites also include free Wi-Fi and HDTV. Laundry, showers, a shaded picnic area and a large convenient store are all available at the campground.
Campers also have access to the indoor swimming pool at the resort’s hotel. The resort also has a pet resort, so RVers can safely leave their dogs and cats behind while exploring canyon trails. The RV park is connected to the Grand Canyon Railway, which offers daily rides on a historic train.
Grand Canyon / Williams KOA Journey
Price: $57 to $95 per night
Also located in Williams, the Grand Canyon KOA Journey is the best Grand Canyon RV Park for families who prioritize campground amenities. However, a full hookup campsite will cost you close to $100 per night.
The small resort has less than 50 RV campsites. All of the RV spots have either full hookups or water and electric hookups. All sites have Wi-Fi, cable TV and gravel pads.
Amenities at the campground include a swimming pool, a hot tub, a fenced dog park, bicycle rentals, a snack bar, a coffee shop, laundry, a rec room with arcade games and billiards, a playground and a convenience store.

Best North Rim Grand Canyon RV Parks
RVers who value quiet should consider visiting the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. The North Rim receives just ten percent of the number of visitors to the South Rim. The North Rim is also at a higher elevation, so it usually has cooler temperatures.
North Rim Campground
Price: $18 per night
RV travelers who are looking for budget camping or wish to stay in the park, should reserve a site at the North Rim Campground. Like most National Park campgrounds, there are no RV hookups available.
The campground has 87 sites, some of which can accommodate RVs up to 40 feet long. The campground has a dump station and a potable water fill. A general store, laundry, flush toilets and hot showers are also available for all campers.
Trails from the campground lead to the canyon, the visitor center and the nearby Grand Canyon Lodge. At the Lodge, campers can enjoy a variety of dining options and book mule trips into the canyon.
Kaibab Camper Village
Price: ~$50 per night
North Rim visitors who need full hookups, should book a campsite at Kaibab Camper Village, the closest full service RV park. Kaibab Camper Village is located 45 miles from the canyon rim.
In addition to full hookups, the RV campsites have picnic tables and fire pits. The campground also offers laundry, showers and a camp store.
While Kaibab Camper Village is a bit of a drive to the National Park, it is right next to the Kaibab National Forest, which offers opportunities for great hiking, nature viewing and horseback riding.
Best Grand Canyon West RV Parks
Another awesome Grand Canyon destination is the west side of the Grand Canyon. This area is the most accessible portion of the canyon when traveling from Las Vegas, and is home to the famous Glass Skywalk. Grand Canyon West is located on Hualapai tribal lands.
RV Parking at Grand Canyon West
Price: $22 per night
Campers who want to stay super close to the canyon can park their RV right at Grand Canyon West, home of the Glass Skywalk. RV parking is limited to three nights.
RV parking spots at Grand Canyon West do not have hookups, but water fill and sewer services are available upon request. RV camping also includes 24-hour security and free Wi-Fi.
In addition to visiting the Skywalk, visitors to Grand Canyon West can book helicopter or ziplining tours and rafting trips. There are also several restaurants and shopping nearby.
Happy Trails Campground
Price: $42 per night
Located in Meadview, Arizona, less than an hour’s drive from the Skywalk, Happy Trails Campground is a full service RV park. The campground is also just a short drive to Lake Mead.
The basic campground offers about 25 RV campsites, most of which are pull-thrus with full hookups. Other amenities at the RV park include free coffee, kayak rentals and free Wi-Fi.
After visiting the Grand Canyon, there is plenty for campers to do around the campground. The area has great off-road trails, hiking and stargazing.
Meadview RV Park
Price: $49 per night
Also located in Meadview, Meadview RV Park is another great RV camping option near the west rim of the Grand Canyon. The RV park is located just 26 miles from the rim and the Skywalk.
The small campground has about 30 RV campsites that have full hookups and picnic tables. Fire pits are available seasonally upon request. The campground also has laundry and showers for campers.
