Astoria / Warrenton / Seaside KOA Resort
First on our list of the best KOA campgrounds is the Astoria KOA Resort. This high-end RV park is located in coastal Oregon, just outside Fort Stevens State Park. The large resort has over 200 RV campsites with full hookups and gravel or asphalt pads.
For the best experience book a pull-thru KOA patio site, which includes a concrete patio, swing, outdoor dining table, barbeque grill and a fire pit.
Since the northwest can be chilly throughout the year, this KOA has an indoor swimming pool and hot tub that can be enjoyed all year.
There is also an outdoor pool for warmer days. Other amenities include a jumping pillow, mini golf, playgrounds, bike rentals, indoor and outdoor basketball courts and a dog park.
Clearwater / Lake Tarpon KOA Holiday
Situated in a tropical setting between Tarpon Springs and Clearwater, Florida, this KOA Holiday has the most impressive landscape of any KOA in the country. With just over one hundred campsites, it is also a smaller KOA.
All of the sites in this KOA are surrounded by lush, tropical vegetation, including some large shade trees. The spacious patio sites offer paved patios with upgraded outdoor furniture.
Notable features of the campground include a heated swimming pool, a poolside cabana with an outdoor TV, a playground, a putting green and a dog park and pet washing station. The campground is also walking distance to local restaurants.
Homer / Baycrest KOA Holiday
The end of the road is the beginning of a great Alaskan adventure at this KOA, perched on the edge of Alaska’s magnificent Kenai Peninsula.
The campground provides a peaceful retreat in a truly remarkable setting with views of Kachemak Bay, Cook Inlet and snow-dusted mountains.
The patio sites at this KOA Holiday campground have the best views of any RV park on this list. The full hookup sites have a dining table and barbeque grill overlooking the bay and mountains. Campers can even see whales right from their campsite!

Located just 25 minutes from downtown Charleston, this KOA Holiday is one of the best luxury RV resorts near the historic town. Situated on the grounds of a former antebellum plantation, the RV park has over 100 campsites, most of which offer full hookups.
The best campsite at this KOA is the back-in patio campsite that backs-up to lake and has its own private deck overlooking the water. The large site also has a swing, comfortable patio chairs, a fire pit and a grill!
The Mount Pleasant KOA Holiday offers many high-end amenities. The main feature is a scenic 30-acre fishing lake. There is a dock on the lake and the campground has boat rentals available.

Myrtle Beach KOA Resort

Outer Banks West / Currituck Sound KOA Holiday

The best sites in the campground are the deluxe waterfront patio sites. These premium campsites back-up to the water and have private decks and fire pits with incredible views.

Santa Cruz / Monterey Bay KOA Holiday

For the best views, book a waterfront patio site with ocean views and direct access to the beach. If you travel with kayaks, there are also waterfront sites that come with their own kayak or paddleboard launch area.
